Tommy, self-taught, has become a master of multiple art disciplines. “My creations are a piece of my personal reality,” Tommy explains, which is why this show is so important to him. An MC and producer in the 90s, Tommy sees this show as an opportunity to, “take the things I’ve learned as a lyricist and producer and translate them visually onto the canvas,” describing it as a “dream come true working with these artists.” He compares it to working on an album, but instead of assembling and arranging beats he is creating the music with his art.

Tommy recently had his first solo show in New York City and completed a full-length animated video for Ice T. Ice T describes him by saying, “He is one of the most incredible new artists I’ve come across.” Tommy has done work for many other artists as well and has had his works displayed across the world.

All the lyricists in the show are Hip Hop icons, whose effect can still be felt and heard today. Grammy award-winning artist and star of Law & Order SVU, Ice T, is a pioneer of gangster rap. Cult hero Kool Keith cofounded Ultramagnetic MCs and last summer was honored with a star in the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee and Grammy award-winning Melle Mel was the lead rapper of the Original Furious Five. Large Professor of Main Source and numerous successful solo projects is considered one of the top 5 hip hop producers of all time. Incredibly talented Smoothe Da Hustler, whose lyrical style on Broken Language, impacted the craft of mcing in a way few artists have.
