NY Poetry Festival – Sept 10-11th, 2022

We’re honored to be a named sponsor for this year’s annual Poetry Festival on Governor’s Island. Every summer, The New York City Poetry Festival invites poetry organizations and collectives of all shapes and sizes to bring their unique formats, aesthetics, and personalities to the festival grounds, which are ringed with a collection of beautiful Victorian houses and tucked beneath the wide, green canopies of dozens of century old trees. By uniting the largest community of poets in the country and offering a unique setting for literary activity, the New York City Poetry Festival electrifies arts and literature and brings poetry to new light in the public eye.

The Governors Island ferry is free before noon, or $4 after. The schedule and visitor info can be found at the Governors Island website. Advance reservations for the outgoing trip are strongly encouraged. Visitors no longer need to choose a return time when booking ferry tickets. You may leave the Island on any ferry you choose, no reservation required.

The festival is free and there is no need to register in advance. Further details can be found at the NYC Poetry Festival website.

Since its founding in 1947, New York Artists Equity Association (NYAE) has championed the professional aspirations of artists, many of whom have been integral to shaping America’s cultural landscape. It’s our honor to be a sponsor of the NYAE’s 75th Anniversary night of fundraising and art to raise money to ensure NYAE’s bright future and continued support for artists.

The evening spotlights NYAE’s core mission and the talents of our artist community with 7 x 5, a stunning collection of 7×5” works in a range of media and styles, created and donated by member artists specifically for the event. Works will be for sale for $300 each throughout the evening, with all proceeds going to support NYAE. Be sure to get first dibs by buying Collectors’ Preview tickets!

Also join us for a tribute to the life and work of one of NYAE’s founding members, post-war American sculptor Chaim Gross (1902-1991), along with performances by cellist Sarah Song, performance artist, and singer John Kelly, and poet Robyn Gibson.

We’ll be serving wine and beer, including non-alcoholic beers graciously sponsored from our friends at No and Low, at the bar, and plant-based hors d’oeuvres by our in-house chef. Dancing encouraged!

100 SMALL WORKS OF HOPE – APR 8TH, 2022

We Create | NYC funds and shines a spotlight on emerging women and non-binary artists, while offering free and exciting arts events to the public.

We’re honored to be supporting April’s group exhibition featuring 25 women and non-binary artists working and living in NYC generously sponsored by 470 Lexington/237 Park Avenue and RxR Realty.

April was designated as National Month of Hope in 2018 by a not-for-profit organization, Mothers in Crisis founded by Rosalind Tompkins. The 100 small pieces, measuring up to only twelve-inches, are chosen to exemplify the concept of HOPE.
