By uniting the largest community of poets in the country and offering a unique setting for literary activity, the New York City Poetry Festival electrifies arts and literature and brings poetry to new light in the public eye.
The Governors Island ferry is free before noon, or $4 after. The schedule and visitor info can be found at the Governors Island website. Advance reservations for the outgoing trip are strongly encouraged. Visitors no longer need to choose a return time when booking ferry tickets. You may leave the Island on any ferry you choose, no reservation is required.

T.D. Jakes is leading a movement that requires us all to disrupt the status quo. The state of our society is leading T.D. Jakes to motivate disruptors nationwide as we live in a time where it’s necessary to free ourselves and transform for the sake of the greater good. It starts with one’s thinking, the mind is a place that is only controlled by us and is where our true freedom lies. It’s the place where revolution starts. Disruptive thinking has led to some of the world’s most innovative and necessary movements at the right time; every period of chaos brings an opportunity to disrupt by providing an unexpected solutions.
